Either I am knitting slower this week or I have much longer rows!!!



Rivulet has gained just 6" since Sunday, with the back cables complete and the peplum feature started. So that's 16" in total, four buttonholes and a whole lot of cables!


I have to admit I've changed it again (sorry, Shannon!!) More by accident than design this time!

Having read the pattern for the peplum increases once too often, I made the unconscious decision not to jump up from the sofa and refer to it when I actually got there... and instinctively made one by picking up the loop between stitches instead of using kf&b... and then wondered why it didn't quite fit across the cables...so I tried again allowing 6 sts between each increase which fitted perfectly, only now all my st st panels have six stitches where Shannon's pattern has some with four.....Guess what? I'm leaving it as it is...

I guesstimate I'd like between 16 to 18" from underarms to the bottom giving me about 10" left on the body so that should keep me occupied for most of this week...

Today, I tried to buy it some buttons....
after suffering 20mins with the dental hygienist I popped into Franklins my lys (which coincidentally is opposite the dentist).... I found the perfect silver metal knotwork design... only the tube was empty! Another perfect large silver heart button... they had.. two!! Insert rude words of choice here .......
Back home and on the internet then and thanks to some Ravelry recommendations I have some on their way from both MacCulloch and Wallis and The Textile Garden, and I'll just have to see which look best when they get here...
